Fun Ways to Teach Math

The school year is coming to a close, but there are many fun ways to review important skills and keep students motivated.

This blog post will feature fun ways to teach math.

HOST A MATH FAIR
Students can select a topic that they learned during the course of the school year and explain it as a math project.

Over the course of a week, students can research a math topic and create their display boards.
I love this idea because it incorporates research, technology, and math skills.  This is a fun way to incorporate STEM into the classroom.

INCORPORATE VISUAL NOTETAKING
When a student illustrates his or her notes, it is not only fun, but it is also a fantastic way to help the brain information.

Visual learners and students that love to draw really enjoy this idea.  Even my most reluctant learners gain increased motivation when they create illustrated notes for their notebooks.
