Inference Playing Cards (Update)

Making inferences can be fun!  Lately, I have been on art overdrive and have been updating many of my old products.  My most recent update was to my Inference Playing Cards.  Yes, these are playing cards that review inferences.

I was providing intervention to students that needed to improve in reading.  My goal was to create learning resources that reviewed concepts and made learning fun.  The playing card series was born.

It is fun to watch students really get into the game and build their game strategies as they learn how to infer.  This has been one of my best sellers.  To access this resource, click here.

Fiction and nonfiction passages are included.  Questions are written at different levels of Bloom's Taxonomy to help students at all reading levels practice critical reading skills and infer ideas.

  • Save hours of planning time.  Since the passages and task cards at written at different levels, students at different reading levels can work on the same skill at their own individual reading levels.
  • Use for progress monitoring.  The Lexile level/guided reading level is written on each task card.  Each level comes with a student recording form and an answer key.
  • Use as a test prep resource.  The questions are written at different levels of Bloom's Taxonomy.  Multiple-choice and short response questions are both included.
  • Use as an RTI (Response to Intervention) resource.  The leveled nonfiction and fiction passages make it easier to review comprehension skills.
